The Future of Campaigns Is Being Built Right Now
Dear friends,
I’m heading to my hometown of New Orleans today to attend the Spring DNC Meeting, an important event where the administrative duties of the Democratic Party are managed and Democrats from across the country come together to discuss the future. While I’m sure there will be plenty to discuss about current events, it will be insightful to hear what will come for the near future.
Last week, the national Democratic Party released a playbook best practices for campaign tools, tactics and voter contact to prepare coordinated campaigns and state parties for the 2026 midterms. Filled with direct reports from organizers across the country and advocacy spectrum, the document provides clear learnings that any Democratic/progressive/leftist campaign can consider and use for their electoral efforts. The case studies are also fascinating, especially ones like the WhatsApp organizing focused submission from Higher Ground Labs which will only deepen our understanding of social-based communication.
I can also guess what some of you are thinking: why is he so positive about Democrats?
Let me be clear: I am positive about the direction of the party, because I’m blessed to have met so many organizers, thought leaders and candidates from the entire left spectrum who spend their lives building towards something that is bigger than all of us. In spite of what we see on our screens, small actions of organizing and actions from people who care still lead to big results.
I’m looking forward to what’s possible this week in New Orleans and beyond. CN4 Partners is ready to build the future we deserve, and if you’re looking for a true partner then give me a shout at wes@cn4partners.com.
Looking Forward,
