Happy Tuesday, ya’ll – last week, I joined millions of other Americans in the time honored tradition of waiting until April 15th to file my taxes. Yes, I know I shouldn’t have waited. No, I don’t usually do this. I was a bit distracted this time around.

The current administration and their henchmen have distressed our economy and our rights, thanks to the unneeded and harmful actions.

Not only have we seen our stock market yo-yo up and down, but egg prices are still rising, Americans are taking on more debt, and companies are announcing layoffs by the day. Our federal government is detaining U.S. citizens without probable cause, and the President is looking to deport citizens as well. I know it’s real to folks because when I walk the streets of my neighborhood and pop into the stores, I overhear the stories of people struggling to protect their loved ones and to provide a decent life for them.

Americans are frustrated and angry, and overwhelmingly want a bare-knuckled political brawler ready to fight the administration at every turn.

A recent Change Research poll showed that Democratic voters won’t make their decisions between progressives and moderates, we will be choosing between outright fighters and quiet power brokers. In a world where content and entertainment has integrated in everything we do, authentic political theater and purpose is what voters want. It’s not just enough to show up on the ballot – candidates need values that reflect what we hear in our conversations everyday.

Many of our friends, family members, co-workers, and neighbors are stepping up to run for office – up and down the ballot.

Run for Something recently announced that in the last six months, almost 40,000 people have shown interest in running for political office. The energy to march, speak up and fight back is alive across the country, and it’s incredibly encouraging to see so many willing to put their names on the ballot. Running for office can be intimating, especially in a media era where openness and transparency is expected.

We’ve spent the last 15 years fighting for Democrats across the country, in everything from school board to Presidents, and we’re ready to stand with others who want to fight back.

We’re former campaign managers, field directors, fundraisers and legislative staffers. We understand how politics is always local, but is even more influenced by the federal political climate. We’ve produced award-winning media and creatives, and have been involved in some of the toughest federal, state and municipal legislative elections in the country. If you’re ever looking to chat about politics or the fight ahead, send us an email.

The fight is going to be long, it’s going to get personal, but you’ll never have to walk alone.
