Mansplaining
Friends,
While we are mostly known for our cutting-edge political strategy and ads, we also help businesses communicate too.
Dusty Hoerler, a member of UA32 and owner of Craftsman Plumbing, came to us with a challenge – how to communicate his business’s values. He had invested a significant amount of time and energy in recruiting and training a staff of plumbers who were focused on the customer experience – not on upselling, or being rude and condescending to customers.
Looking at the market, many of the other plumbing companies in his market target male customers – ads featuring football players and other sports celebrities. And, nobody has invested in changing the culture of their company.
We came up with one overarching concept that described what Dusty’s doing: Craftsman Plumbing – home of the no mansplaining guarantee. This embodied the culture shift that Dusty had already led internally in his business, but also allowed him to reach out and target a group of customers that is rarely targeted by plumbing businesses – women.
We also wrote and shot several ads featuring the concept that were run on local cable and streaming services.
This next ad featured a player from the Seattle Storm – as part of the shift, he had also signed a sponsorship deal with the popular WNBA team.
Craftsman has continued the No Mansplaining concept with social media, billboards and yard signs. We’re happy to help you rebrand your business, extend your reach or convert new customers, too – just give us a call or an email.
